Gorilla Monsoon joins Vince McMahon for an interview. He asks Monsoon about his long-time friend Victor Rivera and asks him why he’s changed. Monsoon guesses that Rivera spent a long time in the Los Angeles area wrestling and that he became ill and thought his career might be terminated. He said Rivera took a vicious beating and was in the hospital and when he got out had a completely different outlook on wrestling. Monsoon continues saying that Rivera dissociated himself from his friends including Monsoon. He doesn’t think it is a pro wrestling issue but more personal. McMahon asks Monsoon about the rumor that Fred Blassie might have a hand behind this change in Rivera.
SHOW THOUGHTS: Best part of this show were the two interviews because the matches were a little rough to watch. The tag match had its moments when Jimmy Ray made his comebacks against the Yukon Lumberjacks and whenever Yukon Eric was in, it was pretty good. I think this show is more ideal for fans who grew up watching that era of wrestling and want to relive it.
